CAITLIN CONNOLLY

Caitlin Connolly is an American artist and writer. Raised in Mormonism and practiced in Shamanism, Connolly interacts with various mediums of art to seek and depict themes of femininity, spirituality, and duality.

Connolly’s early artworks were driven by a curiosity of the feminine and a desire to understand herself better within her known cultural construct of “woman”. These creations offered her personal healing and led her to discover deeper themes of Duality at large which are represented in her current creations today.

Connolly was honored with the Governor's Mansion Award in 2023 for her accomplishments and contributions in Visual Arts in the State of Utah. She was featured speaking about Duality and the beauty of darkness in a TEDx talk in 2020. Her large-scale painting, “In Their Image”, was the first painting to be acknowledged by and purchased by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints depicting a Female Deity in 2017. The acquisition of this painting was a liberating and celebrated experience for many women throughout Utah and in additional conversations throughout the world.

Through a prolific body of work early in her career, Connolly has depicted and made visible varieties of unseen themes of the female experience. Her artworks have been collected throughout the world and have become meaningful and celebrated additions to private and public collections in Utah and throughout the world.
